How to Choose the Right Bed Size for Your Bedroom
Mattress width, walkways and wardrobe doors matter more than the word king or queen on a label.
Measure the mattress you will actually use
Indian queen and king sizes vary by brand. Measure the mattress, then specify the frame to that mattress. A king frame with a smaller mattress looks unfinished; a queen frame will not stretch around a larger one.
Width is what most couples feel. Length matters if anyone is tall — then a longer rail can be more useful than jumping a size just for the label.
Leave space to make the bed
You need clearance on at least one long side to change sheets. In a 10-by-11 room, a king plus two full bedside tables often fails. A queen with slimmer tables, or a king with a bench at the foot instead of two bulky nightstands, can be the more comfortable layout.
Watch wardrobe doors. Sliding doors pair better with wider beds. Hinged doors that open into the mattress are a daily irritation no headboard will fix.
Storage beds
Hydraulic storage helps when wardrobes are already full of off-season bedding. It is less useful for things you need every morning. See king, queen and storage frames at Galaxy Sofas and check the lift with the mattress you intend to use.
